The Battle of Bunker Hill

The Battle of Bunker Hill took place on June 17, 1775, near Breed´s Hill, during the Siege of Boston early in the American Revolution. On June 13, 1775, the leaders of the colonial forces learned that the British generals planned to send troops out from the city to occupy the hills surrounding the city. In response to this ,1,200 colonial troops under the command of William Prescott occupied Bunker Hill and Breed's Hill.

The Brittish marched in lines, the first line sits letting the soldier at their back to attack, but that made easier to the colonists to attack. It was very difficult for the Britthish to see the colonial milita because they where hiding behind rocks. The militia at the beginning where winning, but they lost because they ran out of amunitions.
